Run for a Dream
In this event, students challenged running and swimming projects and raised donations for the “Make a Wish”– Shanghai Charity Foundation to help a boy suffering from serious illness and we try to create a journey of aspirations that will change his life.
Before the start, when children heard Mr Main told them that they had to complete the 3.2-kilometer long-distance race or the 100-meter swimming competition, many children were hesitated:”Can I get this done? “I have never tried this before!” However, when they thought that every step take could help others, they rushed to the start and couldn’t wait to accept the challenge.
Before Long Ducker, many children remembered the fundraising and saved up their pocket money in advance. After the event, they carefully put their pocket money into the envelopes, and wrote their most sincere blessings on the envelopes. Though some of G1 students’ handwriting is immature but the wording are full of love and hope. This love is passed from the green city of Nanning across thousands of mountains and rivers to the northern borders of China.
Every step taken in the Harrow Long Ducker brings hope, strength and joy to these seriously ill children. Through these positive experiences, it provides them with physical and psychological help and gives them the ability to continue to fight against the disease. motivation and courage.
After the event, the parent representatives and school staff jointly counted the charity donations. Finally, in this event, we successfully raised 22,154 yuan on that day, successfully achieved the goal, and successfully realized the dream of the seriously ill children! Soon, the Hanghang children will be able to successfully realize the dream of a pilot together with their parents.
