Kasey Ou
Chinese Teacher &LS Chinese Studies Coordinator
Ms Ou holds a master’s degree in international Chinese language teaching from The Education University of Hong Kong. She has worked as a Chinese teacher and headmaster in renowned schools in Guangdong Province, where she was responsible for Chinese teaching, researching courses and PBL courses. She has also taught as a Chinese teacher at the International Institute of Chinese Language and Culture of East China Normal University and the Chinese Department of Masaryk University in the Czech Republic, and has extensive experience in bilingual work.
Ms Ou holds a high school Chinese teacher qualification, a high school education teaching certificate and a family education instructor certificate, and is qualified as a school counselor.She is committed to inspiring each student to grow and develop on their own, and is highly regarded by students and parents alike.
Kiki Chen
Chinese Teacher
Graduated from Chinese Literature. 8 years of language teaching experience as well as 5 years of classroom teacher experience. Before joining Harrow Nanning, she worked as a Chinese teacher in a famous middle school in China, and her classes were always in the top of the grade level. Ms Chen has always adhered to the attitude of “lifelong learning” and pursued excellence in teaching and personally. She has won the first prize in many teacher competitions.
Lily Tan
Chinese Teacher
Ms Tan holds a B.A. degree in Chinese International Education and has five years of frontline teaching experience. She has worked as a Chinese teacher and a headmaster in a well-known school in Guangdong Province, and during her teaching period, she led a class that won the first place in the district in Chinese performance. She is an outstanding member of the Guangdong Provincial Key Project Research Group, and has been awarded as an outstanding instructor in the National Language Literacy Competition for many times, and specialises in broadcasting and recitation.
She believes that language teachers should be travelers and connoisseurs of the Chinese language world, respecting each student’s reading experience, acting as mentors for the development of the child’s spirit and spiritual growth, guiding the student’s perception and aesthetics of the world, helping to shape his or her personality and mind, and inspiring the birth of romance and poetry within him or her.

Lower School Class Teacher
Ms Goh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Sunderland and obtained her PGCE from the University of Nottingham. Before joining Harrow Nanning, Ms Goh worked as a subject lead, homeroom teacher and coordinator in many excellent international schools in Malaysia. She has 12 years of rich experience in international curriculum teaching, development and class management. Ms Goh is full of energy and always passionate about students and helps them have the ability to face the future. She hopes to make learning fun with interesting exploration, project and STEAM classroom activities.
Oliver Strahle

Mr Strahle graduated from Durham University with a Bachelor’s Degree in History, and a Master’s Degree in Heritage Management from Newcastle University. At the same time, he completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) atf the University of Glasgow . Mr Strahle is also experienced in English teaching and holds the internationally recognised CELTA certificate. Before joining Harrow Nanning, he worked as an English teacher in the UK and Nanjing, China. Mr Strahle likes to experience various cultures, providing students with new insights through the rich history.
Ollie Hadfield

Mr Hadfield graduated from Lancaster University in the UK and has the PGCE. He previously studied at Beijing Language and Culture University. Mr Hadfield has 10 years of experience in international education. As a member of the founding teacher team of Harrow Nanning, he has served as a homeroom teacher in K3 of Harrow Little Lions Early Years Centre Nanning.
Mr Hadfield aspires to empower children academically and creatively by fostering a supportive and encouraging classroom environment. His commitment lies in nurturing the growth of all students, helping them become valued members of the school’s multinational community.
Romila Sharma

Ms Sharma has a Master’s Degree in English and a Postgraduate Gegree in Education, and has obtained his PGCE from the University of Nottingham. She has 14 years of teaching experience and has worked as a primary and kindergarten homeroom teacher at the American Embassy International School in India, the British International School and Chengdu International School in Sichuan. Ms Sharma is familiar with the EYFS and British Foundation Education and is good at helping children form good behaviour habits at the same time.

Ms Sibisi graduated in Mathematics, English and Business Studies and qualified to teach in the UK and China. Prior to joining Harrow Nanning, she worked as a primary school lead teacher and has 8 years of teaching experience. As a teacher, Ms Sibisi has always created a warm, friendly environment where students can freely express their thoughts and feelings. She is passionate about education and her desire to share knowledge with her students and make a difference in their lives through knowledge.
Lewis Khan

Mr. Khan holds an undergraduate degree in Computing from York St. John University. He has gained teaching experience in Guangzhou, China, where he cultivated a deep appreciation for diverse educational environments. Upon returning to the UK, he furthered his education by obtaining a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) from the University of Leeds.
With a firm belief that every student is unique, Mr. Khan is dedicated to creating a safe, engaging, and dynamic learning environment. He is committed to understanding the individual learning styles of his students and tailoring his teaching methods to meet their specific needs. Mr. Khan employs a variety of instructional strategies to ensure that each student has a positive and effective learning experience.

Mr Law graduated from Northumbria University in the United Kingdom with a major in Biomedical Sciences. He has a PGCE postgraduate degree in education from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. Mr Law has 6 years of experience in early childhood and primary school education, and he hopes to integrate what he has learned into the classroom and create a fun and positive educational environment with the children.
Ji Young Leon Li

Leon is a British Chinese who grew up in England and graduated from Imperial College London (2025 QS World University Rankings: 2nd) with a Bachelor of Science honours degree, and subsequently obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) postgraduate degree. Although English is his first language, he can also speak Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese fluently.
In 2021, whilst working at Charles Dickens Primary School (ranked 4th best in England), he obtained his Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) as well as Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
He loves music, singing, sports and movies. He has won awards in over twenty local and international singing competitions in the past, and appeared on television in singing contests organised by Hong Kong’s TVB and ATV.
He also represented UK Chinese youth football team to participate in the Chinese World Cup.

Joanne holds a bachelors degree in Science and masters in Teaching from the University of Melbourne. She planned and implemented inquiry project for students to support their sense of equity in 2020 when she was in the room leader and program coordinator role, this later gained her the full registration qualification as an early year teacher with the Victoria Institution of Teaching (VIT).
Joanne believes all children have the capabilities to reach their level of achievement and she is passionate in supporting children to explore their full capacities. She hopes that her love of children and professional experience would make a positive addition to Harrow.

Ms Nicky Liang Hold a bachelors degree in Education, Community and Organization in University of Washington, master degree in Early Childhood Education in Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has studied in the U.S. for six years, her internship experience in an American public primary school and her own education experience have made her more familiar with the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western culture and education.
She believes in education, in which everyone has equal rights and through education, students will be able to think critically. A teacher, should act as an assistant in the student-led learning process, helping them find the learning method that really suits them.

After initially working in the finance industry having graduated from the University of York in 2005, Nathan later decided to go into teaching and completed his PGCE in Mathematics at the University of Hull in 2010. He taught mathematics in the UK and Germany before coming to China in 2014. Nathan has taught mathematics at many different levels, including the IB Diploma and Cambridge A-Level, and recently gained Senior Leadership experience at a high school in Shenzhen City, China.

Mr Adeoba holds a first-class Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Aeronautical engineering and a first-class Bachelor of Science (BSc. Hons) degree in Software engineering from the University of East London (UEL). He was an associate member of the Royal Aeronautical Society in London before he turned his attention to the teaching and learning of Mathematics in 2007. He obtained the post graduate certificate in secondary education (PGCE) at UEL in the same year.
He has been a Mathematics instructor for about seventeen years and in that period, he has had the privilege of teaching determined and extremely motivated students, some of whom have gone on to study at Ivy league and Russell group universities.He believes that Mathematics is best learnt when abstract Mathematical concepts are effectively linked to real-life scenarios and real-life experiences.

Neil holds a bachelor degree in English in East China University of Science and Technology. He spent 2 years teaching junior high students English in the border between China and Myanmar. A published writer as well as an educator, Brandon embraces a teaching philosophy that stresses creativity, student-teacher collaboration, and the pursuit of knowledge as a lifelong endeavor.
Shane Maher
English Teacher & Assistant Housemaster
Shane holds two first class M.A. degrees, in Philosophy and Literature, and in Education Leadership. His bachelor’s degree was in English Literature and Media & Communication Studies. His Postgraduate Diploma in Education focused on English literature and Modern Foreign Languages, specialising in French.
He began teaching in 2004 and has taught in Ireland, Abu Dhabi, and in China since 2019. He has experience as a department coordinator, House Master, form tutor and boarding mentor. He was also a founding member and Teacher Ambassador for Huili School Nantong. He has a keen interest in the pastoral development and mentoring of the students in his care. He believes that all students have the potential to achieve their educational goals. To this end, he believes that collaboration between teachers, learners and their families is vital.
Shane has been heavily involved in sports coaching, at school and club level, throughout his career. Since 2014, he has been especially involved in rugby coaching, developing tag rugby into a popular sporting choice for his students here in China. He has worked as a school musical producer, set designer and stage manager since becoming a teacher.

Godwin Okochi

Mr Godwin Okochi holds a BSc. Energy Engineering degree as well as a M.Sc. Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In addition, Godwin also holds a 120 hours TESOL teaching certificate as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Liverpool John Moore’s University, U.K.
Godwin has more than seven years’ experience teaching IGCSE, AS and A Level Physics and Maths to students. Before moving to Harrow Nanning, Godwin taught Physics and Maths at Shanghai where he oversaw students score excellent results and joining some of the UK’S top universities such as Cambridge, UCL, etc.
Godwin believes that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. He strives to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential.
Finally, Godwin is a very enthusiastic, energetic classroom leader with a good sense of humor, and brings these qualities with him to school every day.

Ms Luo graduated from materials science and engineering with 7 years of experience in technical laboratory management, new material research and development. Ms Luo has a solid knowledge of Physics and Chemistry. During her tenure in Harrow Nanning, she has led her students to participate in multiple provincial and municipal science and technology innovation competitions where students were awarded invention patents, technological innovation, and other awards.

Mr Sohaib Qureshi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from King’s College London, a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Cambridge, and is qualified to teach Science in the UK.
With extensive experience in local British schools, he excels in teaching Chemistry and Biology to senior students, as well as at the IG/A-Level.
George Owino Odero

George holds a BSc in Range Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Biology) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Management. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Educational Management at Strathmore University.

Charles holds a Bachelor of Education Arts degree, but he is also in his final stage for his Master of Arts in Music Education. Charles has been a Music Teacher in International schools for the last 14 years. He is passionate about Music Technology, but he is also talented in Music Composition and Performance of both Instrumental and Vocal music. He previously taught in Kenya, Malawi and he came to China in 2019 to teach in Sichuan Province, having served as Head Department and leading Music departments in various schools to greater heights.
Karen Mark

Ms Mark has a degree in Music from the University of Surrey, a post- graduate diploma in Special Education from the University of Birmingham, and has recently completed a master’s degree in World and Traditional Music at the University of Sheffield. She has been teaching for 18 years and has served as Head of Music in a special educational needs school in London.
Ms Mark has previously worked in China, having taught music at an international school in Shanghai. She plays the piano, recorder and tenor horn. Ms Mark aims to engage all students in her lessons and to create a life-long passion for music. She tries to do this by appealing to different types of learners by using, for example; photographs, physical games, realia and singing. In her free time, Ms Mark enjoys reading, swimming and running.

Zanmarie Snyman
PE Lead
Ms Snyman graduated from the North West University of Potchefstroom, South Africa. She obtained her Post Graduate in Education from the University of Derby, UK. With more than seven years of teaching experience, she has been teaching in China for six years. She has a wealth of cross-phase teaching experience within English and Physical Education.
She obtained her Swimming Coach Certification Level 2 from American Swimming Coaches Association. Additionally, she holds a National Professional Qualification in Leading Teaching (University College London, UK) and obtained Level 2 Certification for delivering Duke of Edinburgh.
She is deeply passionate about being a PE Coordinator and find immense joy in teaching physical education. Her enthusiasm for fostering physical fitness and teamwork drives her to create engaging and inspiring lessons for students.
Kirsten Gonsalves

Ms Gonsalves holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Sports Management and honours in Biokinetics. Ms Gonsalves spent the first 3 years of her career working in a kindergarten as Head Coordinator for all physical development programs. Ms Gonsalves is currently enrolled in the university of Derby and is studying towards obtaining her PGCE in Primary Education.
Kirsten has a passion to get deeply involved in extracurricular sports and exercise. Kirsten places a large emphasis on allowing the students to improve physical fitness, develop motor skills, acquire knowledge of human motion and behaviour of healthy and active living, sportsmanship as well as emotional intelligence.

Mr Alan Clark is a passionate educator with 12 years of experience and a professional football coach with 13 years on the pitch. He bridges the gap between academics and athletics.His academic background in Psychology and Sociology (BA, University of South Africa) combined with his Postgraduate Diplom a in Education informs his coaching approach.
Additionally, he holds a Professional Football Coaching Licence with a specialization in Periodization.

Catherine Mavyala
Art Teacher
Ms Mavyala holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, specialising in Fine Art, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, and has the qualification to teach art in upper school. She has 15 years of international education experience, including 11 years as the Head of the Art. She has experience of graphic design, drawing, textiles design, painting, printmaking and sculpture. Ms Mavyala has rich experience of A-Level Art and Design, and can help students learn art systematically, laying the foundation for further art studies at university in the future. The works of the students under her guidance have won awards in world-class art competitions, and many of them have been exhibited in national art festivals.

Mr Flahaven graduated from the University of Hawaii with a major in Drawing and Printmaking. He holds the certification of K-12 teaching in Nevada, United States and Certificate in Outdoor & Nature Pedagogy for Young Learners from University of Denmark. Mr Flahaven has 13 years of teaching experience in Art, English and Social Studies. He hopes to endow students with the eye to recognise beauty, to express artistic views in language and to appreciate art through systematic art learning.
Daria Caraus (Dasha)

Daria is an artist and art educator from the UK. She holds a degree in Design from the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland and has a rich background in the creative industry, focusing on interior architecture. Her teaching journey has taken her across the UK, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam, where she has specialized in visual arts, including painting and printmaking, for students of all ages and levels. Additionally, Daria teaches graphic design, interior design, and product design, utilizing various modern tools and software.
Outside of teaching, Daria is passionate about art and web design. She also enjoys long hikes and Latin dancing.
Daria’s teaching philosophy centers on the belief that everyone has an innate artistic talent waiting to be discovered. As a teacher, she aims to provide students with the tools and guidance they need to express their ideas independently. She encourages students to explore different media and techniques, draw inspiration from their surroundings and the masters of art, and develop their unique artistic voices.

Ms Sabrina Hou graduated from the University of Birmingham, UK with a master’s degree in International Management and Policy in Education. She is a secondary school teacher and holds a qualification of University Counselor. Ms Sabrina Hou has over 30 years of teaching and educational management experience. Before joining Harrow Nanning, Ms Sabrina Hou served as the Academic Head and the Director of College Counselling in prestigious schools in Beijing and Jiangsu. Ms Sabrina is familiar with the requirements of university admissions and supports students to prepare for the university application effectively. Under her guidance, many students entered top 50 universities in the United States and the G5 group in the UK to study.

Jeffery Zhang
School Counselor
Mr Zhang holds a master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Auckland. He is a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)-oriented psychological consultant of the Chinese Psychological Society. He has 4 years of experience in psychological counseling and mental health for teenagers. Before joining Harrow Nanning, he served as a research assistant at Fudan University, a psychological counselor of well-known domestic universities and international schools. He is fluent in both Chinese and English and is good at various psychological counseling and consultation.

Keenan Van Der Veen
Teachers Assistant and Boarding Housemaster
Mr Van Der Veen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Business Management from Harris University. He then returned to South Africa where he spent a year supporting at a school being as a sports coach and a Teaching Assistant. He developed a passion for coaching and developing children’s skills. Mr Van Der Veen then spent 18 months working at a school in China as an International Teacher specialising in Physical Education. He then went on to complete his 120 Hour TEFL Course.
Keenan is a good team member who works well with children and teachers to assist with individual needs and support. He is passionate in guiding the children to reach their full potential. Keenan believes in good discipline and regular routines, making it easier for children to navigate school life. He ensures a vibrant, positive pastoral and academic experience while being a part of the Boarding House. Keenan is looking forward to working with the Harrow family.
