With the continuous growth of Harrow Nanning, we have welcomed 136 Chinese teachers and expats from 12 countries and regions this year. At the same time, nearly 150 freshmen from nine countries and regions joined Harrow Nanning, a large educational community of thousands.
Holding up their parents, hugging their friends, and smiling happily, the children of Harrow Little Lions Early Years Centre Nanning came to the campus early in the morning, and the teachers also waited in the lobby, to welcome the lovely Little Lions.
Ms Glesni Guest, Head of Harrow Little Lions Early Years Centre, Nanning, and Mr. David Dee, Head of Harrow Nanning Lower School, extended greetings to the Little Lions and their parents. In the 2023 academic year, Harrow Little Lions Early Years Centre, Nanning will establish a closer relationship with the Lower School of AISL Harrow Nanning and work hard on teaching and education management to ensure a smoother transition between kindergarten and primary school for the children. In the new school year, the Harrow Little Lions Early Years Centre, Nanning will usher in more changes and embrace a better future under the leadership of all faculty and staff.
Students from the Lower and Upper school returned to school in the afternoon. The student ambassadors, the Heads, and teachers warmly greeted their students at the entrance, and laughter filled the entire campus.
This academic year we warmly welcome Mr David Dee performing as the new Head of Lower School. Many new teachers joined the Lower School as well. The Lower School students got to know their homeroom teachers and bilingual Chinese teachers, Chinese teachers for the first time on the stage.
Everything in the new semester is full of surprises, and the Lower School students quickly became familiar with each other when they returned to class. They got to know their new classmates and new teachers through ice-breaking games. In a short period of time, they quickly became one.
In Harrow Nanning, the House System is the “core system”. Unlike lower grade students who have to study in a Class System as the core, “class-selection” learning and “House” activities will become daily routines for Upper School students. The Upper School is centered around the “House”, where the schoolmates in vertical and tutors are their closest family members.
This year, Harrow LiDe Nanning High School welcomed its first batch of G10 freshmen. The outstanding academic performance and versatility of the high school freshmen left a deep impression before they entered school. As the Head of Upper School Mr. McRoberts mentioned in his speech: “I firmly believe they will excel and set the highest standards for those who follow in their legacy”, they will continuously improve themselves and pursue their dream schools through various rich learning courses, campus activities, and university guidance provided by the school.
Many students have spent two years in the Boarding, getting along with the teachers like friends and receiving support from the teachers and boarding partners. They also shared their thoughts on boarding for two years through video, which filled the new boarding students with expectations for boarding life and staying in their “second home”.
It’s going to be a better year!
Embrace change and face the next year.
We will be better!
Looking forward to more happiness and achievements in Harrow Nanning in the new school year.
